Massive congratulations to Bee Ororo-Freestone, the winner of our Sapphire’s Got Talent competition. Bee won the day with a fantastic performance of her self-penned piece ‘Drink Song’ about drinking and redemption.
The competition was fierce with great performances from all of our finalists. The ‘Bethany House Sisters’ choir came second with their amazing rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘I see Fire’, with Alva Sermidi and Senay Yacob coming joint third. Alva for her energy fuelled dance performance and Senay for achieving well over 50 keepy uppies on the day! Thank you to Archie Colquhoun for his wonderful poems as well, with firm favourites The Last Balloon and Happiness being among his poetry rendition on the day.
The day wasn’t just about our Sapphire’s Got Talent finals though, there was something on offer for everyone with a smoothie making bike, nail painting, henna, card and jewellery making, a knitting and croquet area, resident involvement and of course the always popular alternative therapies.
I enjoyed the whole day. The events and the performances were great and I enjoyed meeting other people from Sapphire.
It was great to see so many residents enjoying all the activities on offer and getting to know each other a little better. Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you all enjoyed it!
Congratulations and thank you once again to all the finalists and our winner, Bee, for contributing to the success of the day. Everyone at Sapphire really appreciates the effort you all put into your performances. We would also like to say a special thank you to Krystyna, one of our St Louise residents, for her lovely thank you poem at the end of the day.
We hope to see everyone again at next years event and if you have any ideas and/or suggestions for future events, or you would like to be involved next year, please do get in touch: email@example.com
