Sapphire offer support after Grenfell Tower fire

Sapphire Independent Housing has offered our support and services to people who are now homeless after the terrible tragedy at Grenfell Tower yesterday.

The NHF is co-ordinating the response on behalf of housing associations across London and we have asked them to include us in any offers of support.

As you are all aware, via our annual fire safety inspections and regular health and safety inspections throughout the year, fire safety is taken very seriously at Sapphire Independent Housing. Our current procedure in the event of a fire is the immediate evacuation of a building to your designated meeting point. Nonetheless please be reassured, we are proactively speaking to our Health and Safety Consultants to assess whether anything needs to change in light of yesterday’s events.

If you do have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to speak to your Key Worker, reception staff or Housing Officer. Queries can also be directed to info@sih.org or you can speak directly to someone at head office on 020 8485 8889.
